Abstract

The proposed article aims to raise theoretical reflections on the dissemination, in children's books, of discourses that support a type of pedagogization of contact with environmental issues. With an instrumentalized, didactic and moralizing character, this literature is mainly concerned with prescribing to children ways of being, being and acting in the world, currently marked by the idea of environmental crisis. In this sense, it is a literature that seeks to produce homogenized collective subjectivities and does not allow for the forging of other and new existential territories. In another direction, based on a new ecosophical logic, the possibility of children's literature as an art is presented here, provoking powerful children's experiences, whose centrality lies in childhood itself.
